Cleopatra's Palace leaves a lasting legacy The Cleopatra VII ruled as the last active Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt. Cleopatra's Palace was abandoned after her death, but it's still possible to see the remnants of this once majestic complex. The palace is located on the city island of Alexandria and it incorporated different traditional Egyptian architectural styles. It consisted of a number of buildings, including a large audience chamber, reception areas, bedrooms and banqueting halls. The walls were decorated with scenes from mythology and there were also a number of gardens. Cleopatra VII was an extremely influential ruler and her palace played a significant role in her reign.
